Getting Started with Cincopa

You can get started creating a media gallery for your web site using Cincopa in just a few easy steps. A media gallery is simply a collection of media files. With Cincopa, you can personalize these galleries using styles. You will select a style according to the media you are displaying and the style of your web site. Gallery styles vary from classic to flamboyant for different types of media, and give you a number of choices of how you want individual files to be displayed

Ready!? Let's get started! Follow these steps to create your Cincopa Gallery.

  • Log in to your Cincopa Account.
  • Click Media Platform at the top of the page
  • Click Create a New Gallery.

  • Choose what kind of media the gallery will hold. You will then be taken to the skin selection screen.

  • To select a skin for your gallery, use the skin selection box. To see a list of skins, click the down arrow inside the grey box (see image below).

Note: A skin is simply a style that defines how your media files are displayed.
  • After choosing your skin, you can customize it. The amount of customizations available depends on the skin you choose and your account type. Pro Account users will have access to the Premium Settings, Free Account Users will not.

  • After you have customized your skin, click gs5.jpgat the right side of the page.
  • Now, we're ready to add files to the gallery. If you have already uploaded files, choose the files you want in your gallery. If you have not already uploaded files, you can do so now by clicking gs6.jpgon the right side of the screen.

There are three ways to upload files to your gallery:

  • After you've uploaded your files, it's time to add captions and descriptions to them (if you want, that is!).

  • After entering your captions and descriptions, you may also rearrange the order of your media by simply dragging them into the order you desire. You may also use the button under your media "Power Users View (old manual reorder page)" to manually order your photos. When you're happy with your captions, descriptions and media order, click gs8.jpgat the top right side of the page to continue.

  • You're almost there! All that is left to do is select the CMS you are displaying your gallery in and get the code.
  • Click the icon for the CMS system you are using (WordPress, Blogger, Joomla, etc.).
